The Inaugural Alabama State Games competition in 1983 was held in Auburn, Alabama and featured 600 athletes competing in four different sports. In 2012, ASF Foundation's 30th Anniversary State Games showcased more than 6,000 athletes competing in 25 different sports and over 100 sporting events, making in the state's largest annual amateur multi-sport athletic event.
The Alabama State Games Hospitality Patrons support the games by donating equipment, food for volunteers and supplies as well as monetary donations. We would never be able to pull of the Alabama State Games without these organizations. Please take the time to support these companies.
The Alabama Sports Festival Foundation (ASF Foundation), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1982 at the request of the United States Olympic Committee. The ASF Foundation is proud to have a very qualified board of directors that are leaders in their community and state. Several have served the ASF Foundation since it's inception in 1982.
The ASF Foundation is a non-profit organizations that depends heavily on financial contributions large and small. The following organizations are the backbone of our support and work with us to make all of our programs a reality. Purpose: A Code of Ethics is an essential tool with which to protect and promote competition in the best interests of athletes, coaches, spectators, Game Officials, and the State Games program. Ethics is defined as: "the basic principles of right action or good conduct."

The ASF Foundation (Alabama Sports Festival Foundation), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1982 at the request of the United States Olympic Committee.
